Meta Humans is a project-based learning environment in Central Florida for kids and teens ages 7 to 17, built for homeschoolers and after-schoolers. A structured day, real tools, small teams, and educators who know your kid.

Built for kids who need more than a classroom offers
Some kids are bored in school. Some are anxious there. Some are homeschooled and need structure, friends, and hands-on work their kitchen table can't provide. Some go to school and need their afternoons to count for more than a screen. If your child is curious, capable, and stuck in an environment that doesn't fit, this is the place we built for them.
We are not a school, a daycare, or a drop-in playroom. Members come on a regular weekly rhythm, join their weekday's project team, and work alongside the same kids and the same educators. The value shows up over weeks and months, not visits.
The day
Every day is designed on purpose
The structure repeats daily, so kids always know what comes next. The content changes with the term, so no two days feel the same. We strongly recommend arriving at 9:00.
Opening: goal time (from 9:00)
Every day starts with personal goals, on screen at check-in, so your child picks up where they left off. Homeschoolers can bring their own schoolwork; our staff help, at no extra cost.Morning meeting & Culture Générale (10:30)
A warm-up, a team check-in, then a 20-minute thinking ritual around one word and one big idea.Workshop of the day (11:00)
A focused 60-minute hands-on session. Familiar format, new topic. Once a week, this slot is self-paced coding.Lunch & social play (12:00)
Lunch and screen-free play, then a group game together.Team project (1:15)
The centerpiece of the week. Each weekday has its own project, running all term, with the same crew.Clubs & open studio (3:00)
Chess, languages, art, games, self-directed projects. The standard day ends at 4:00.Tutoring & academics (4:00 to 6:00)
Small-group tutoring in math and reading, schoolwork, and tracked goal work. Select days at participating centers.

Team projects
Siege engines, escape rooms, arcade machines, a popcorn factory, space habitats. One project per weekday, running all term, ending in showcases, markets, and expos.

Real tools, real stakes
A working makerspace
Glowforge laser cutter, 3D printers, vinyl cutter and heat press, soldering stations, sewing machines, Arduino, Raspberry Pi and micro:bit, LEGO SPIKE robotics. Every tool is educator-trained and supervised.
Adults who know your kid
A small core team of educators and a mixed-age room of 7 to 17 year olds where older members mentor younger ones by design.

The practical stuff
Two questions every parent asks first
What does it cost?
Memberships are prepaid visit packages in two speeds, one assuming about two visits a week and one assuming about one. Florida's Step Up for Students scholarships cover membership for many of our families, and we bill Step Up directly. See pricing.
Is it too far?
Two locations: Altamonte Springs and Winter Park. Most families drive 15 to 30 minutes, and because members attend on set weekdays rather than daily, the drive happens once or twice a week.

The best way to understand Meta Humans is to visit during a regular day, meet the educators, and watch how kids work. Tours are easy to book, and there is never any pressure. Kids are welcome and encouraged to come along.
